Lara Knipmeyer 

Director of Community Management | Educator | Advocate

With over two decades of experience in community association management, Lara Knipmeyer is a recognized leader, educator, and advocate in the field. Currently serving as the Director of Community Management for Sage Management, Lara continues to shape the industry through education, innovation, and a deep commitment to professional excellence.

Lara holds a Supervising Community Manager license with the Nevada Real Estate Division and serves as the Senior Instructor and Coordinator for Key Realty’s 60-hour Pre-Licensing Course—an essential step for those entering the profession in Nevada. Her influence extends beyond the classroom: she is a dedicated volunteer with Community Associations Institute (CAI) and an active contributor to continuing education (CE) content for managers and board members across the state.

A passionate advocate for education, Lara has developed and delivered CE courses on diverse topics, including wildfire preparedness in collaboration with a local fire consulting firm, and stormwater management in partnership with the City of Reno. She is also engaged in a developing educational initiative with the University of Nevada, Reno. Her expertise has reached beyond state lines, working with communities and professionals in California and Idaho to expand access to vital training and resources.

During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lara pioneered Nevada’s first live Zoom CE courses for community managers. Collaborating with the Nevada Real Estate Division, legal professionals, and other educators, she led the effort to adapt CE delivery to a virtual format. Since 2020, Lara has hosted, organized, and taught more than 300 live Zoom classes—reaching thousands of professionals and board members statewide.

In 2023, Lara served as a Senior Project Manager for a national HOA software company, gaining valuable insights into the future of technology and operations in community management. This experience further enhances her forward-thinking approach as the industry evolves into 2025 and beyond.

Lara remains a trusted voice and dedicated mentor in community management. Whether teaching pre-licensing courses, developing CE programs, or consulting on best practices, she continues to drive education and engagement across Nevada and neighboring states.
